Tolchester boat rental building

Description

Three men standing beside a boat rental building on the shore of the Chesapeake Bay in Tolchester, Maryland. Tolchester was the location of the Tolchester Beach Amuseument Park, which consisted of a bathing beach, amusement park, racetrack, and hotel in Kent County, Maryland, that operated from 1877 to 1962. It was a popular vacation destination for Baltimoreans as it was only 27 miles across the Chesapeake Bay and the Tolchester Steamboat Company ran daily excursion steamships to Tolchester from Baltimore, Maryland.
