Description

Two scenes from Baltimore, Maryland. The top scene depicts "Camden Station of the Baltimore & Ohio Rail Road. To Washington and the West. Prov. Marshal's Office 8. Army Corps. Col. John Wolley." The image shows a church next to the train station with a steam engine waiting for passengers, and Army troops performing a drill in the street. The bottom scene depicts "Hospital, South side [Sic] of Camden St. Z.E. Bliss Surgeon U.S.V. in Charge of Hospital. Rev. Charles (L. or I.) Bowen. Hospital, North side [Sic] of Camden St. at Howard St. and Eutaw St. Price $1.00." The image shows the hospital along with many other stores and buildings, a horse-drawn streetcar, and bustling streets.
