Dress

Description

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of his eponymous brand, Christian Siriano hosted a fashion show at New York Fashion Week featuring seventy-two looks, including this two-toned silk gown. Born and raised in Annapolis, Maryland, Siriano attended the Baltimore School for the Arts before studying at American InterContinental University in London, where he interned under industry giants Vivienne Westwood and Alexander McQueen. In 2008, Siriano became the youngest contestant to win Project Runway, receiving national attention at New York Fashion Week for his winning show. Siriano has since built a thriving couture house, all the while pioneering diversity and inclusivity in fashion. This two-toned silk gown illustrates Siriano’s mastery of color and structure, as the bright pink and red collide at a curved front seam that echoes the cascading line of the one-shoulder drape.
