Main Reading Room Hours
Wednesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (by appointment only and new limited hours due to COVID-19)
The library closes for lunch on Saturdays, 12 — 1 p.m.
Mean Reading Room Collections include reference and history books, microfilm, and genealogical resources.
Special Collections Hours
Wednesday – Friday and the second Saturday of each month, 10 a.m. — 3 p.m. (by appointment only and new limited hours due to COVID-19)
Special Collections include manuscripts, photographs, rare books and pamphlets, maps, and other archival materials.
The Maryland Center for History and Culture is closed on the following holidays: Easter Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
Admission is FREE for members of the Maryland Center for History and Culture. Admission is FREE to everyone on the First Thursday and Second Saturday of the month. *** During summer 2021, museum admission is FREE for visitors under 18, June through August. ***
