For more than 175 years, the generosity of our donors has enabled the Maryland Center for History and Culture to collect, preserve, and share authentic content and artifacts that connect the public to Maryland’s unique place in the American experience. Only through your financial contributions can we continue to provide resources and experiences through our museum, library, education programs, and statewide programming.

Annual Fund 2021

This is an important time to engage with MCHC as we approach the end of the calendar year and prepare for 2022. Each gift to the Annual Fund directly impacts the scope of our work in the coming year.

Shaping the Future of History Campaign

With funding and support from this campaign, we are seeking to shape the future of how history is presented far beyond our walls, connecting with new audiences and greatly expanding our national presence.

Gifts of Stocks or Securities

Gifts of appreciated stocks and securities can be more cost effective than gifts of cash. Learn how to make your donation today.

Planned Giving

Your history lives on by joining The Benefactor’s Circle.

Corporate Supporters & Partners

Join a unique group of dedicated corporations and businesses who are advancing their business goals while also helping to preserve Maryland’s past.

Maryland Day of Giving 2021

All donations will directly support the conservation and preservation of 100 out of our 200 historic flags and banners in our collection. If you missed making a donation on Maryland Day, you can still make a donation to support these important pieces of history. Check back with us during the year to hear updates on our flag project!

Adopt-a-Box Project

Every box in our world-class costume collection contains amazing discoveries. Help us purchase supplies like new archival boxes and acid-free tissue to safely store these fragile pieces of history.

Friends of the Press

Since 2005, Friends of the Press has raised funds to bring new titles into print. Join us in filling in the unwritten pages of Maryland history.

Item Donations

We strive to share stories of Marylanders through art, objects, and archival material at the Maryland Center of History and Culture. Community generosity helps us achieve that goal.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our dedicated volunteers make our mission possible and allow current and future generations of visitors to be inspired by our collection and our collective past.
