Letter from George Washington to John Eager Howard

Description

A letter from United States President George Washington to Maryland Governor John Eager Howard. Washington writes to inform Howard that there is a medal accompanying the letter that was designed to commemorate Howard's exemplary conduct in the Battle of Cowpens, an engagement in which he fought during the American Revolutionary War.
