WayFinders: Making Sense of Our World invites families to use their senses to learn history together. A dedicated exhibition designed for ages 5 and up encourages visitors to use clues from nature and their senses. Sniff a beehive, crank a bucket elevator, listen to cicadas, and play in the Shadow puppet theater.
In the history of Maryland, people used their senses and careful observation to guide themselves and others. They followed both these natural clues and their own inner compass, or their sense of what was right, to help lead the way.
We can be WayFinders today, too.
