Monument Lighting Open House

Warm up at MCHC during the historic Washington Monument lighting! Organized by the Mount Vernon Place Conservancy, this annual tradition has taken place in Baltimore since 1971.

Visit MCHC to enjoy holiday postcard decorating, hot chocolate, and warm cider to commemorate the unofficial opening of the holiday season in Baltimore. Museum members receive a 20% off discount to get unique gifts from the Museum Store. Join us at 6:30 pm for a puppet parade around the monument plaza, led by local puppeteer and artist Dirk Joseph and his life-sized Mother Nature puppet!

Registration is required. Free Museum admission between 5 and 8 pm.
