The Last Ships from Hamburg with Steven Ujifusa

In partnership with the Jewish Museum of Maryland, the Maryland Center for History and Culture presents author Steven Ujifusa for a virtual evening lecture on his new book, The Last Ships from Hamburg: Business, Rivalry, and the Race to Save Russia’s Jews on the Eve of World War I. Ujifusa discusses his meticulous research and original insight into the mass exodus of Jews from Eastern Europe to America in the early years of the twentieth century, and the men who made it possible.
