Description

Watercolor supply box used by Anne Brooke Ellicott (1801-1839), daughter of the founder of Ellicott City, Maryland, George Ellicott (1760-1832). The interior of the box lid features reviews for "Osbourne's Super Fine Watercolors" from the likes of Thomas Sully (1783-1872) and others, dated 1824 and 1826.
