Description

White satin card case with central hand-painted medallion portraits on each side, surrounded by floral embroidery. On one side the portrait shows a woman with brown hair, while the portrait on the other side shows two young children. The case belonged to Mrs. Charles Carroll (nee Margaret Tilghman, 1742-1817) of Mount Clare in Baltimore, Maryland.
