Eyeglass case embroidered by and belonging to American fashion designer Claire McCardell (1905-1958), who was born in Frederick, Maryland. A mannequin with a garment on it is made in needlepoint on the front of the case, while the other side of the case features needlepoint scissors and a pin cushion.
