Clock, Alarm

Description

Alarm clock with dual yellow bell & striker on top. The clock face bears the caricature and name of Spiro Agnew. Baltimore County native Spiro T. Agnew (1918-1996) was elected Baltimore County Executive in 1962 and Republican Governor of Maryland in 1966. Agnew's selection as the vice-presidential candidate by Richard Nixon and election victory in 1968 made Agnew a national figure. Entrepreneurs capitalized on both he and Nixon's image from the time they took office.
