Description

Ivory silk crêpe and silk satin wedding dress. Three-dimensional flowers and pearls embellish the dress. Hand-made lace trims the sleeve cuffs, front of bodice, and skirt train.

Worn by Judith (called "Jennie") DeFord Worcester Martins (b.1869), an organist at Christ Church, at her marriage to Frank Martins on October 8, 1883. Patten of Baltimore designed and sewed the dress.
