Flag

Description

This 34 star flag was flown on West Lafayette Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland to celebrate President Abraham Lincoln's election in 1860, and again in 1865, when Lincoln's funeral train passed through the city. It was hand-stitched by Alice McClellan and Eleanor Miranda Dixon White, the donor's grandmother and great-grandmother.
