Ice covered ruins of Anderson & Ireland Hardware

Description

A group of policemen and firemen standing at the northwest corner of Pratt Street and Light Street in front of the ice covered ruins of Anderson & Ireland Hardware after the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. Because of powder and dynamite stored in the building, it was necessary to keep constant streams of water aimed at it, but after enough time the water eventually froze.
