Description

View of the front and side facade of La Paix, an estate located on York Road near Sheppard Station in Towson, Maryland. People are visible on the porch and the second floor balcony. Designed by Baltimore architect John Appleton Wilson for the Lawrence Turnbull family in 1885, the estate was later home to authors F. Scott and Zelda Fizgerald from 1932 to 1933. It was razed in 1962 to clear land for St. Joseph Hospital.
