Maryland State Lottery ticket

Description

A Maryland State Lottery ticket, numbered 6,970. Printed on the left of the ticket is "By special act of assembly." On the right is an image of two men sitting beside the Maryland flag with an eagle above them. At the center is "Maryland State Lottery. (Under the superintendance of the Commissioners appointed by the Governor and Council.) This TICKET will entitle the Bearer to such Prize as may be drawn to its number, if demanded within twelve months after the completion of the drawing; subject to a deduction of fifteen percent. Payable sixty days after the drawing is finished." The ticket is also signed by the Commissioner.
