Mount Deposit

Description

Landscape painting featuring the home of John Sterrett in the center of the composition. This house was used by the British on September 13, 1814 as General Brooke's headquarters after the Battle of North Point. Two standing men are shown in foreground, with two women at center, and small buildings behind. Three cows, a row of trees, and house and outbuildings are shown at right.
