Daguerreotype portrait of Arabella Young Gittings (1816-1861), daughter of William Loney Young (1785-1842) of Baltimore. In 1848, she married Dr. David Sterrett Gittings (1797-1887) of Baltimore as his second wife. The couple were parents to Elizabeth Mary Bose Gittings (1853-1928), mother of William Bose Marye.
