Daguerreotype portrait of Edward Carrell Lucas (1811-1872), eldest son of Fielding Lucas Jr., (1781-1854) and Eliza Carrell (1786-1863). In 1838, he married Catherine "Kate" A. Meline (1817-1897), and the couple were parents to at least one child, Kate Butler (1840-1920). Edward Lucas died at Ovid (Seneca County), New York.
