Portrait of Maulden and Eliza Perine

Description

Daguerreotype portrait of Maulden Perine and his wife, Eliza. Maulden Perine (1798-1865) was a Baltimore pottery manufacturer and a Quaker. In 1825, he married Susannah Parker (1805-1840), daughter of George Parker of Philadelphia. The couple had at least four children: Rachel Parker (1826-1872), married William George Scharar; Maulden (1832-); Thomson Parker (1834-1911), married Elizabeth Chase Morrow; and Mary A. (1838-). In 1842, Perine married for a second time to Eliza Jones Tyson (1800-1863), who was the widow of William A. Tyson of Baltimore.
