Promissory note from Edmund Brice to A. Murray

Description

Promissory note written by Edmund Brice to A. Murray for the purchase of an enslaved boy for the sum of 180 pounds. Based on the writing on the back of the note, it appears Edmund's brother James made the payment on his behalf.
