Seaman’s Bride daguerreotype

Description

Daguerreotype of "Seaman's Bride" a Baltimore clipper. The ship was launched in 1851 from the shipyard of E & J Bell for Thomas J. Handy of New York. The clipper entered the California trade under Captain Joseph Myrick, and was sold circa 1855-1858 to become the Carl Staegoman of Hamburg.
