Steamship ‘Louise’ on Chesapeake Bay

Description

View of "Louise," a sidewheel passenger steamboat, on the Chesapeake Bay. Two figures on a smaller vessel can be seen in the foreground. Owned by the Tolchester Steamboat Company, the "Louise" was one of the most popular excursion steamers on the Chesapeake Bay and could hold 2,500 passengers.
